Shipping live plants throughout Virginia

Meadows Garden Company ships living plants within Virginia only. Because plants are living products, we take extra care with timing, packaging, and weather when preparing orders.

Virginia Shipping

Shipping is available throughout Virginia, with rates starting at $8. The exact shipping cost may vary depending on the size and weight of your order.At this time, we do not ship outside of Virginia.

Spring Plug Preorders

Many of our plugs are grown to order and sold by preorder. These plants are not ready to ship when you place your order.For Spring 2027 plug preorders, plants are expected to be ready for pickup, delivery, or shipping during March 20 –April 30, 2027. The exact timing may vary depending on weather and growing conditions.I grow my plugs specifically for the upcoming season, and my priority is to send healthy, established plants when they're ready rather than rush them out before growing conditions are suitable.

Weather & Shipping Delays

Weather can have a significant impact on living plants. If temperatures or other conditions make shipping unsafe, we may delay an order until conditions improve.If a significant weather-related delay affects your order, we'll communicate with you and provide an updated shipping timeframe.

Local Pickup & Delivery

Customers in Craig County, Virginia may choose local pickup or delivery when available.

Free delivery within 5 miles
$10 delivery outside 5 miles
Local delivery is limited to our designated service area.

Pickup and delivery will generally be arranged once plants are ready.

When Your Order Arrives

Plants may experience some wilting or minor stress during transportation. This is normal for living plants and should generally improve after they're unpacked and properly watered.If your plants arrive seriously damaged or you believe there is a problem with your order, please contact me as soon as possible, preferably within 48 hours of receiving your order. Please include photographs of the plants and packaging so I can determine the best way to resolve the issue.For information about defective plants and exchanges, please see the Return & Exchange Policy.

Customers are responsible for providing an accurate shipping address.If you need to make a change to your order, contact me as soon as possible. I cannot guarantee that changes can be made once an order has entered preparation or shipping.
